The Alumni Engagement and Development team transforms lives by directing time, talent and funding into Salford.
We build long-term and meaningful relationships with alumni, high-net-worth individuals, corporate organisations and trusts and foundations for the mutual benefit of the University and our wider communities.
Philanthropic funds and skills-based volunteering supports strategically important projects to enhance our campus through infrastructure and facilities, further cutting-edge research, improve access and social mobility and support the progression and employability of our students and alumni.
We are often seen as the 'front door' to the University and bridge the gap between academia, students, alumni, industry, and communities locally and globally. Through philanthropy and engagement, we make a significant contribution in building the university's reputation and reach and have the power to instill pride in all who live, work and study with us.
We have a global ambition with a strong civic commitment to the communities on our doorstep. We open doors, we deliver impact, we further research, we accelerate strategic projects, we improve infrastructure, we increase access, we support growth, we instill pride, we change lives. Our programme of engagement and fundraising is rooted in data and insight. We are aware that we have a long way to go in maximising the potential of this approach and are looking for this to be a key focus of this role and the Development Services Team in providing the expertise and rigour to drive the reach and impact of our work. The Development Operations Manager will lead a team responsible for managing a number of critical activities including the end-to-end process for prospect identification and management, database management, data integrity and training, analysis and reporting and compliance and policy. Support the implementation and maintenance of new systems, communications channels etc.
Develop and review University policy in areas relevant to Alumni Engagement and Development.
The successful Development Operations Manager will possess:
Experience of database management (preferably Raiser's Edge NXT)
A specialism in analysing and interpreting complex data from multiple sources to make insightful and sound business decisions
Relevant compliance legislation and codes of conduct
