Apprenticeship Summary Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.00pm (hours discussed at interview) Total Weekly Hours: 43.75 Duration: 12 months Level: Level 3 Apprenticeship in Childcare and Education Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care, nurturing the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children.
  • Ensure the environment, resources, and experiences offered meet the highest standards.
  • Support planning for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and facilitate diverse outdoor play experiences.
  • Maintain accurate children's records and promote partnerships with parents/carers.
  • Implement procedures for child safety and well-being, including meeting nutritional needs and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Operational Duties:
  • Promote the nursery to parents and potential customers.
  • Support staff during regulatory inspections and assist in continuous improvement.
  • Act as a role model, supporting staff induction, training, and team-building.
General:
  • Undertake additional duties as requested, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be proactive in addressing parent concerns and participating in nursery activities.
  • Maintain an active role in supervision, appraisals, and personal development.
Requirements and Prospects:
  • Desired skills include computer literacy, communication, and the ability to work independently.
  • Personal qualities such as a positive attitude, hard work, organization, and punctuality are valued.
  • Desired qualifications include GCSE Grade D/3 or above in English and maths or equivalent.
  • Future prospects include the possibility of a full-time job upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Additional Information:
  • Manual handling and cleaning of the nursery setting are required daily.
  • Outdoor learning is a regular part of the role.
