In this exciting role as Vice President - Global Sales, you will be an integral member of the Commercial Leadership Team.

You will be directly responsible for delivering our global indirect revenue by leading and inspiring an international sales team, building positive relationships with global travel trade agencies and business travel partners, and working in partnership with our joint-venture airlines, Delta and Air France KLM.

Building strong relationships within the Travel industry and our frequent travellers' community you'll drive preference for Virgin Atlantic.

Truly connecting to the travel trade industry leaders, you'll understand emerging trends and translate them to form account growth strategies.

Leading the sales innovation and market development teams, to optimise cost of sales, maintain operational delivery and take a data-first approach to drive innovation across the global sales teams.

Day to day :

  • Build commercial relationships with VA's strategic partners to achieve ambitious revenue goals
  • Motivate the team for lasting impact through mentoring, installing the right capabilities, and attracting talent while crafting opportunities for talent to thrive in an inclusive and respectful team environment
  • Provide ongoing coaching and leadership to build a team of sales professionals into a cohesive global unit that is a destination of choice for the most promising airline sale talent
  • Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of the overall team.
  • Foster a deep understanding of the company vision, and our competitive and market environments in order to help shape sales partnership strategies.
  • Negotiate attractive partnership deals and ensure mutually beneficial partnership terms that are in line with Virgin Atlantic's business objectives and strategy
  • Deliver a multilayered, digitalfirst Communications and Events Engagement plan that sets Virgin Atlantic apart from its competition
  • Lead topics such as trading, pipeline management, objectives/key result's delivery, resource allocation, and leverage the wider ecosystem to bring the best of Virgin Atlantic to B2B customers and teams.
  • Secure new business wins to consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Enable a bestinclass sales forecast, pipeline, and renewal operating cadence utilising the Salesforce implementation.
  • Navigate crossmatrix (Revenue Management, Marketing and Network) agreeing on goal and influencing to achieve commercial revenue objectives.
  • Using qualitative & quantitative tools and assessments to increase revenue opportunities and optimise Global sales performance. Ensuring we track against our commercial objectives, adopting a cycle of continual improvement, innovation, and effective strategic vision in our approach.
  • Drive organisational change management: engage with senior partners across the business and own delivery on key projects to move the organisation forward.
  • Align and manage the roadmap for Sales Operations improvements (i.e. Sales technology stack & tools).
  • Oversee the annual planning process for the Sales, Sales Support, and Market Dealing & Development.
  • Deploy a profitability model at the account level to drive an overall improvement in channel profitability and define where we win.
