To work in conjunction with all Derby Drivability staff to provide a high quality driver, passenger assessment and advise service whilst being an integral member of the team. You will give specialist, independent telephone or email advise and information. Giving feedback on the outcome of the assessment process is a vital part of the role as is coordinating the writing and preparation of the subsequent report.


Full time and Part time positions are available.
To deliver, in conjunction with colleagues and clients / carers, an individualised & holistic assessment of a client's driving ability in relation medical fitness to drive. Clients may present with diverse and complex physical, cognitive and social car needs.
Using advanced OT skills undertake the clinical assessment of patients to access and load / unload wheelchairs into their vehicles.
To carry out advanced OT assessments of patients with diverse and complex medical presentations, for example learning Disabilities, dementia, amputation, cognition, psychological and social needs

An average of 1115 patients are seen in A& Es across our network every day - 3rd largest in the country.
