Protocol Engineer

Our Partner is looking for a Protocol Engineer to contribute to the design and development of the fastest-growing layer-1 that is shaping the future of finance. They have recently received an additional 9-figure sum in funding to provide an interoperable smart contracts platform tailored for DeFi applications. Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today. In this Protocol Engineer role, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain the layer-1 blockchain.
- Develop and optimise core components of the blockchain, including consensus, state management and financial infrastructure.
- Contribute to research and development of new features and blockchain technologies.
- Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, as well as external partners and communities to further enhance their ecosystem.
- Experience with protocol engineering in a blockchain setting
- Understanding of blockchain concepts, cryptography and consensus mechanisms
- Proficiency and production experience with Rust or Golang
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
