Behaviour Mentor Walsall, WS2 90 - 105 per day September 2024

We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join our partner primary school located in the Walsall area. You will have the rewarding opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development and success of students who need additional support during their educational journeys. The school is looking for you to join them on a full time basis from September, for the right candidate this can become a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to a student with special educational needs
  • Contribute to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to plan and deliver support by developing strategies that promote positive behavioural outcomes
  • Encourage active participation and engagement with learning
  • Support students with their overall wellbeing by delivering targeted interventions to support learning and development

The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience of managing challenging behaviours and good knowledge of behaviour management strategies
  • Have experience of working with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Have a passion for helping children to overcome challenges and reach their full potential
