We are seeking a highly experienced, Multi Axis, CNC Programmer to join the existing team of a well renowned manufacturer based in Plymouth, who have been pushing the boundaries of innovation for many years within precision Engineering. The successful candidate will have a robust background in CNC machining, particularly in multi-axis turning operations, including 5-axis machines, and will be adept at efficiently programming and setting up these processes ready for the introduction and production of new products. You will be working with a variety of turning centres from different manufacturers at our clients facility, who are further looking to expand their machining capabilities to include mill turn machines, therefore the successful person must have an innovative and adaptable mindset to embrace change. Program CNC machines using various control platforms including, Fanuc and Siemens.
Familiar with CAD and CAM packages.
As part of program proofing, perform quality checks and ensure parts meet specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and production efficiency.
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, specifically with multi-axis turning machines.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measurement tools coupled with an Engineering based qualifications such as a time served apprenticeship.
Experience in set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning machines.
Knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., Competitive Salary.
