What you'll be doing

Starting in September 2024,on our thee-year Structural Engineering graduate programme, youllbuild specialist knowledge and experience through a series ofinspirational placements with National Highways and our supply chain.

Were looking for graduates who can demonstrate a highmotivation and passion towards a career in Structural Engineering. Inreturn, youll be rewarded with valuable real-world experience across avariety of exciting, complex projects connected to our large portfolioof structural assets, which includes over 8000 bridges and largeculverts.

Whilst youll spend most of your time workingalongside our specialist structural engineering teams, youll also haveopportunities to rotate around and gain broader experience with otherengineering teams in areas such as pavement and asset management.

Guided and mentored by a delegated engineer and a supervisingengineer, youll take on projects and responsibilities that will helpyou achieve the professional attributes and experience for chartershipwith the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).

Youllget plenty of hands-on opportunities to apply your learning, useinnovative engineering technologies and develop your skills in:

A 2:2 or above in a structuralengineering undergraduate degree (accredited as a base for CEngMIStructE learning), plus
