Opportunity Heard is seeking a foundational Head Chef to lead our culinary adventure, crafting a menu that stands out in London's competitive food market. This role offers the chance to work closely with Chef Bailey, driving a new standard for quality and ethics in fast food.

Role Expectations The Head Chef at Heard is pivotal in establishing our culinary identity, merging high culinary standards with our ethos of sustainability and transparency. You'll ensure that every burger we serve reflects our dedication to quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities: Oversee all kitchen operations, from inventory management and order procurement to maintaining optimal storage conditions for fresh produce. Lead the development and meticulous execution of recipes, prioritising quality, presentation, and taste, while incorporating sustainable ingredients and practices. Craft signature dishes that set new benchmarks for fast food, turning basic cooking tasks into an art form and ensuring every burger is a masterpiece. Uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, rigorously adhering to national and international regulations to guarantee the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Ensure consistency across all dining experiences, whether in our brick-and-mortar location or food trucks, maintaining the quality and taste of every burger served. Act as asteward of Heard's values, balancing the drive for culinary excellence with our commitment to environmental stewardship and supply chain transparency.

Requirements: Significant experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. Demonstrable commitment to quality and innovation, with a preference for candidates who have experience integrating sustainable practices in their cooking. Culinary arts certification or equivalent professional training. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Flexibility to work across multiple locations and adapt to the unique challenges of a food truck operation.
