Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? GSL Education Lincoln is working closely with SEN and Secondary Schools in Lincoln to locate a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.

GSL Education’s Lincoln Branch is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join and work in Lincoln schools on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

Applicants must have a DBS on the update service.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students requiring additional support, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs, tailoring your approach to meet their unique requirements.
Personal Care: Support students with personal care needs, ensuring their well-being and comfort throughout the school day.
Implement positive behaviour management strategies to help students develop social and emotional skills.
Resource Preparation: Help prepare learning materials and resources to support teaching and learning activities.
Progress Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and recording student progress, contributing to the planning and assessment process.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional needs such as Autism, Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs is beneficial.
Ability to adapt to varying needs and situations within the school environment.
