CHD Design Works are looking for an additional experienced and versatile creative clay modeller to join our small and specialised team. We are a leading design agency, based in Warwickshire, UK, with a proven track record, working on motorcycle and other power two wheeler projects with an international client base.

Responsibilities

Manual creative clay development of motorcycle surfaces and components, at 1:1 scale, working in our design studio in Warwickshire. Suitable candidates will be able to work closely with CHD's designers and engineers to achieve outcomes suitable for world-class vehicles.

3D scanning using Faro Arm Edge

3D milling of clay and hard model armatures using WorkNC

Armature manufacture as necessary, hard modelling as necessary

Qualifications

The ideal applicant will have significant experience as a clay modeller working in a design environment, ideally within the automotive or transportation sectors.

The applicant MUST be available to work in the UK

The ability to work closely with our designers and engineers to create world class surface

solutions across the full range of motorcycle components is the starting point

and a desire to work more broadly in support of clay, across model making

disciplines including armature manufacture and 3D milling will be essential.

A self-starter able to manage their workflow with overlapping projects and design tasks will be the best fit for the role, along with an ability to deliver models that are

accurate and well-finished. Hard model making will also be necessary from time

to time.

An affinity with and a passion for motorcycles will be a distinct advantage. A working understanding of motorcycles is a fundamental part of the job.
