We have a splendid opportunity for an experienced Master Planner to join our team based in Havant for an initial 6 month contract to work on a defence programme.
Although this role is inside IR35 rates are good in order to help with necessary deductions.
This contract role benefits from our famous 4 day work week (compressed hours Monday through Thursday) allowing you to enjoy your time away from work with an extended weekend.
This role can be done at home, on a hybrid working basis with a few trips to the office in Havant, Hampshire, per month.
Deliver expert services in Scheduling, Cost, Risk and Earned Value Management (EVM), and associated reporting requirements
Development and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines, ensuring fully integrated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Statement of Work (SOW), Schedule, Earned Value and Risk baselines.
Ensure that time-phased predictive analyses, critical path verification and schedule risk assessments are performed to assure the capability of the program to meet their commitments.
Ensure performance and health metrics analysis is used to drive actions resulting in improved programme performance.
Provide expertise to the Programme Control Team Lead in developing a Control Account Manager (CAM) environment, interfacing with respective CAMs and PFC.
Assist Programme Control Team Lead with delivering a risk management service for Programme risks identification, assessment, mitigation planning, mitigation action tracking and reporting of risks and opportunities status.
Ensure that risk mitigation activities are embedded in the cost and schedule baseline and that risk impacts and fall back plans are properly assessed for the establishment of Management Reserve & schedule margin.
Supporting processes to new business opportunities across projects
Provide Skilled Planning / Scheduling and Risk & Opportunity Management Subject Matter Expertise to other areas of the business and suppliers as directed by the Programme Office Manager.
Experience of providing leadership to others within a Project or Programme Management environment.
Demonstrable skills in training people on Programme Controls/Programme Performance topics
Experience of providing data driven recommendations to Programme Management and Senior Leadership Team
SME in Programme Performance Management
Expertise in use of Microsoft Project and Deltek Open Plan or similar tools
Proficient use of ARM (Risk Management) tool or equivalent
Experience with schedule risk management tools
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
