My client manufacturers bespoke product handling systems, as well as robotics, conveyor systems and palletisers delivering to some of the biggest names in British manufacturing.

Summary of role:

  • The successful candidate will provide support to an expanding sales and design team. You will be involved in the mechanical design from conception right through the process to installation and review of new products as well as upgrading existing products. This role would suit a Graduate, ideally with some industry experience keen for a new and exciting challenge.

The ideal candidate:

  • My client is looking for a creative, problem solver with the ability to think in 3D. You will excel in a fast-paced environment and are able to manage a varied workload. You will be able to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues across multiple internal departments.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Follow the life cycle of the project from conception and design through the production process to installation
  • Ensure deadlines are met in time and within budget as agreed with clients
  • Working within a small team of multi-disciplined engineers
  • Identify and define a technical product specification based on customer
  • Produce work with consideration of internal and regulatory requirements
  • Preparation of clear and comprehensive technical documentation with associated bill of materials
  • Liaise with in-house engineers, manufacturers and external suppliers and customers
  • Creation of 3D models

Qualifications, Experience and Essential Skills:

  • Engineering degree or relevant industry experience
  • Excellent computer skills including experience of CAD, CAM, Solidworks and DraftSight
