We are looking for someone who is passionate about regulatory finance and can help shape our story as we deliver our plans to invest in our network, support net zero and create a greener energy future. You will be responsible for pulling together the annual Regulatory Reporting Pack (RRP) for Ofgem and routine regulatory reporting of financial data for internal and external stakeholders.   • Using accounting experience, the individual will be responsible for:
  • Managing and consolidation of the annual regulatory reporting pack.
  • Preparing for interactions with Ofgem in respect to this return.
  • Production of all regulatory finance aspects of the annual plan to BHE.
  • Assisting in the review of the price control activity
  • Assist in the production of any financial information in support of meetings with Ofgem
  • Improving our process for producing the RRP
  • Communicating our regulatory performance to business leads.
Key Competencies
  • Strong analytical & numerical skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel and the ability to adapt to other IT programmes.
  • Desire to challenge ways of working and to adapt to quickly changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work under their own initiative to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with individuals at all levels of the Group.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
Qualifications and Attributes Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of working in finance department
  • Experience of operating in a financial environment
  • Advance use of Microsoft including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have used Microsoft Office in previous roles
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • An Undergraduate honours degree
  • Experience gained within similar industry is preferred
