Field Service Engineer

Location: Field Based

Hours: Average of 47.5 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturday’s and 1 in 12 Sunday’s

Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert repair and maintenance services for our diverse range of cleaning machinery. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, servicing, and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Provide courteous and knowledgeable support to customers, ensuring all jobs are completed within agreed service level agreements.
  • Conduct scheduled planned maintenance services and Portable Appliance Tests (PAT) calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the highest standards of service and repair on all machinery, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Update job records accurately in our central database system and provide detailed reports upon each site visit.
  • Manage parts inventory, ordering necessary components and replenishing van stock as required.
  • Assist in the development of more efficient work systems and processes to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training in industrial equipment repair and maintenance advantageous.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
  • Previous experience in a field service engineering role, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Proficient IT skills and physical fitness for manual handling duties.
