Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Platform Architect to join our team. The Platform Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of our organization's technology platform, ensuring it meets current and future business needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to develop scalable and flexible architectural solutions that support our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Design and Development:

  • Lead the design and development of a Bank’s technology platform, including infrastructure, applications, and services. Lead engineering teams actionable architectural designs into reliable, dependable, Cost-effective, extensible platform on Azure, Databricks, Medallion Architecture Define the platform's architecture, components, interfaces, and integration points. Ensure the platform meets scalability, performance, security, and reliability requirements. Design and Build out the configurations, monitoring strategies, backup and recovery plans, and security measures.

Technology Evaluation and Selection:

Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for platform improvement and innovation. Select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to support platform development and enhancement. Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology decisions with business goals and objectives. Articulate and present different technology viewpoints to stakeholders through workshops, web conferences, and presentations.

Architecture Governance:

  • Establish and enforce architecture governance processes and standards. Review and approve architectural designs, solutions, and implementations to ensure alignment with architectural principles and guidelines. Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams on architecture best practices and standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, security, and business stakeholders, to define platform requirements and priorities. Communicate platform architecture concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather feedback and ensure stakeholder buy-in.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for platform optimization, enhancement, and innovation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform performance, reliability, and efficiency. Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform platform roadmap and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in platform architecture, solution architecture, or related roles. Strong understanding of software architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices. Experience designing and implementing scalable and distributed systems. Proficiency in cloud technologies and services (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Lakehouse, ). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Relevant certifications needed Azure Solutions Architect
