Location: Maidstone & Sittingbourne, Kent

Salary: £11.88 per hour. Sleep-ins are paid additionally at the rate of £50.00 per sleep.
Hours: 0 hours, working flexibly, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
Employment type: Casual Contract.

SeeAbility are recruiting for Casual Support Workers to join our team and support our various residential, supported living and community services in the Maidstone area.

As a Casual Support Worker, you will be involved in a variety of different duties such as:

Supporting people achieve their goals and aspirations through different forms of activities
Enabling the people we support and promoting independence
Assisting with personal care when required
Administering medication after completing necessary training

Applicants must be flexible regarding working hours in order to meet the needs of the service.

The shift patterns available are: All hours between 0700 - 2200. Once training is complete, there will be opportunities for sleep-in shifts (paid separately) to your normal hours. You could work from 7.5 - 14 hours per day We are looking for people with a good listening ear who want to see the people we support, excel in their lives, learning and becoming as independent as they can. We are a very active team. The people we support enjoy keeping busy whether it's horse-riding, learning to cook new recipes, going to the farm, gardening, swimming, days out in London or going on roller-coasters at theme parks.

We are keen for weekend staff as well as during the week. It is a lovely service with great people who want to make the most of their lives Please come and join us.

Who will you be supporting

Our supported living services in Kent offers either shared or self-contained accommodation for six young ladies at Maidstone, and a young lady and young man in Sittingbourne. All have a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, sight loss and epilepsy. We are specialists in supporting people who are autistic. Our focus is on supporting people to live independently in their own home.

We aim to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.

Our support enables people to make choices and express their individuality. Personalisation is not a tick box exercise for us, but is fundamental to how we deliver our mission every single day of the year.
