Cutting Edge Music Tech - On-Demand Vinyl Records We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to help us redefine the music industry. The company has invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost. We are working with the leading record labels, streaming services, digital service providers, distributors, and iconic global artists who are keen to partner with us to build a global solution for physical media. But most of all, we would also like to give small artists and artists at the beginning of their careers frictionless access to offer vinyl and CD to their fans via our innovative solution and planned production/fulfilment centres in Europe, USA and Asia. The vinyl market has been growing on average more than 20% yearly over the last 16 years, and even CDs are growing for the first time in two decades. Over 30 million creators are releasing their music online today, and they are growing 30% a year. They represent the fastest-growing music segment. Most of them would like to have their music on vinyl or CD for their friends & family and especially their fans. elasticStage will provide them with easy and affordable access via its unique and scalable on-demand tech. We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer who will provide hands-on support and maintenance across the company's various sites, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations and contributing to projects that strengthen our production and office systems. This is a mid-level position suited to someone with solid technical experience who wants to broaden their skills across networking, servers, storage, security, and user support. You will be joining elasticStage at a pivotal time of growth. We will transition from a single-site operation to a multi-office, multi-factory business. This role will be part of that journey, helping to scale our production systems and build IT systems and processes that will scale across new sites. It's an opportunity to shape the foundations of a new kind of music manufacturing business built for global scale. The IT Systems Engineer will work closely with a senior team member to keep systems running smoothly, support end-users, and contribute to projects that ensure the business has the right technology foundations in place. Requirements Infrastructure & Systems Perform routine system administration (updates, backups, patches, monitoring) Assist in maintaining the stability of the production IT infrastructure and escalate issues as required Contribute to implementing and maintaining data storage solutions (cloud and on-prem) Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, hardware, and software Security & Risk Follow established security policies and ensure patching and antivirus/endpoint protection are up to date Monitor system alerts and report vulnerabilities to the senior IT person Support the expansion of the access control and security best practices Use the in-house monitoring tools to identify issues proactively Service & Support Act as a first and second-line support for staff IT issues (hardware, software, accounts, connectivity) Inventory and asset management of the existing environment and new equipment Manage desk and hot-desk environments with their management tools Own the user support processes and adapt it to fit the company's growth Support onboarding of new staff (accounts, hardware, access rights) Software and subscription management of company licenses Escalate complex technical issues appropriately Projects & Continuous Improvement Support desktop environment upgrades and IT improvement projects Document IT processes and standard operating procedures for future scaling Contribute ideas for improving reliability, performance, and user experience Professionalism & Collaboration Work closely with other teams to resolve IT issues in a professional, service-oriented way Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staff at all levels Demonstrate accountability and ownership in assigned areas Responsibilities 2 -3 years' experience in IT support or system administration role Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, VPN) Knowledge of security fundamentals (patching, endpoint protection, and access control) Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and applications Excellent communication skills and service-oriented mindset Desirable Experience in manufacturing/production IT environments Exposure to backup/disaster recovery systems Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, AWS/Azure associate) Benefits Industry-Leading Salary Package: Enjoy a highly competitive salary package that rewards your expertise and hard work Generous Paid Holiday: Take advantage of 25 days of paid holiday to relax and recharge Comprehensive Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our robust pension scheme Convenient On-Site Parking: Benefit from hassle-free on-site parking Cutting-Edge Tech Office Environment: Work in a modern, tech-driven office environment equipped with the latest tools and technology Medical Insurance: Protect yourself with our comprehensive medical insurance plan Free Snacks and Beverages: Enjoy free snacks and beverages to keep you energised throughout the day Work Location This role is onsite, based in our vibrant Elstree office (WD6), four days a week and one day working from home.
