Summary: MedlockPartners are delighted to be partnering our client, a successfulManufacturing division of a dynamic and highly acquisitive Group basedin the Lancashire area as they look to appoint an experienced FinanceDirector or Senior Financial Controller as part of a recentrestructure.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director andmanaging a small finance function, the Finance Director will take fullresponsibility for the financial performance for this site,implementing robust financial controls and supporting the ManagingDirector with strategic initiatives.
Working closely with thewider Senior Management Team, you will advise, analyse and report onkey business indicators, measures and financial information, using avariety of management tools to support decision making and ensurestrong governance and control of the business.
Leadthe finance team in all financial matters, providing leadership,guidance, and support as necessary.
- Work closely with the MDto help formulate Divisional plans and then take ownership and leadwhere necessary to support the Division in delivery of its’ targets.
- Preparation of the Divisional results, then reviewing andanalysing the financial statements for accuracy and meaning.
-Provision of commercial analysis that helps the MD focus on the areasof the business that need attention or identifying areas ofperformance that could be exploited.
- Lead the completion ofthe annual audit and liaising with auditors where applicable.
-Take ownership of the financial performance ofthe Division, identifying key issues ahead of time, communicating thatto the MD.
- Development and improvement of financial processeswhere applicable.
- Ability to take on project tasks asand when required, such as the integration of new entities into theDivision, whether from a process or system perspective.
-Development of monthly reporting pack and KPIs to improve thevisibility of financial and non-financial information, to strengthendecision making.
A proven leader and communicator across Finance andNon-Finance personnel.
- Experience of dealing withstrong personalities and leading non finance professionals through aperiod of growth / change.
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced and technicallycompetent Senior Finance professional, with a proven track record ofdriving results within a SME business or subsidiary of a larger group.
Due to the multiple tradingentities within the division, there is also an occasional requirementto travel to the business locations to build relationships,communicate and support delivery of the strategy.
