We're searching for an experienced and dedicated Head of Service Delivery to lead our Pathology IT team.

As Head of Service Delivery, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of our IT services. You will lead and inspire a team of skilled professionals, drive innovation, and collaborate with varying stakeholders across our complex organisation to ensure our technology supports the highest standards of patient & customer care.

This position can be remote or office-based - with regular visits to SYNLAB sites in the UK.

Provide strategic direction and leadership to the IT service delivery team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Deliver exceptional service: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of IT services, ensuring they meet the needs of our pathology professionals and support efficient patient care.
Implement and optimise ITIL or similar service management frameworks to ensure efficient incident management, problem resolution, and change control.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, lab staff, IT colleagues, and external vendors.
Drive successful implementations: Lead and manage ITSM projects, ensuring the successful transition of new systems and services into the production environment.
Deliver within the service delivery budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective resource utilisation and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

A strong track record of success in a senior IT service delivery role, with experience in the healthcare or NHS sector highly desirable.
Service management expertise: In-depth knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks and best practices.
Project management skills: Experience in managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
A commitment to identifying opportunities for service improvement and implementing effective solutions.
