Senior Mechanical Engineer NTSP Are you looking to join a successful and growing company? Job Purpose Nuclear Technical Services Provider (NTSP) is a framework that will deliver specialist nuclear technical services to support the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), Navy Command and other MOD organisations. The framework will support the Clyde Infrastructure Programme (CIP) and wider Royal Navy and defence requirements. Its primary focus will be on delivering the refurbishment and upgrade of critical infrastructure at HMNB Clyde. NTSP is a 7 year framework, with the option of a further 3 years, that will deliver specialist nuclear technical services valued between £250 million to £400-million to support DIO, Navy Command and other MOD Organisations. Key Responsibilities Prepares and supervises the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates for a wide range of new construction and maintenance improvement projects. Maintaining the content and configuration of the reference design documentation of extant assets through-life Management of the design development through the whole design lifecycle (requirements development, drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports) for both new and modified equipment Specifying replacement equipment/components and supporting the production of configuration documentation for permanent modifications. Supporting implementation of new designs (Factory Acceptance Testing, supporting commissioning activities). Experience / Qualifications Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering essential Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes and directives and how they should be applied Proven knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques applicable to mechanical design. Strong knowledge in the production of Technical Files for new products / plant and equipment Detail design knowledge of mechanical mechanisms Knowledge of relevant drawing standards 5 years Relevant experience in the Industry
