Job Title: Infrastructure Architect (Azure)

Location: Nottingham (80% remote)

Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum

The Role

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to architect solutions that support our applications and services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will drive the adoption of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using Terraform, optimise our Azure setup, and build efficient CI/CD pipelines to support agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust infrastructure architectures that are scalable, resilient, and secure on Azure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate deployment and configuration processes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, ensuring best practices are followed for security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand infrastructure requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure, proactively resolving issues and optimising performance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect, ideally within a tech or cloud-focused environment.
  • Strong expertise with Azure, including hands-on experience with Azure services, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
  • Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools, ideally, Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
