Multi-Skilled Manual Machinist Turner / Miller
with experience of working to very tight tolerances required for a permanent position in the Tamworth area for an established, world leading company manufacturing gauges and gears. The ideal Multi-Skilled Manual Turner / Miller will also have CNC Turning and Milling experience (desirable) and will be working circa 37.5 hours (Mon - Fri days,
5 hours week (Mon - Fri days, flexible work pattern, can start between 6:30am - 8am)
5x Midweek overtime & Sat Hrs, 2x Sun Hrs
25 days holiday plus bank hols.

The successful Multi Skilled Manual Turner / Miller day to day duties will include:
If CNC competent, programme (online), set and operate Fanuc / Mazatrol controlled CNC Turning & Milling machines.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of components.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Ensure production issues are resolved quickly, efficiently and production KPI's are met.
To be suitable for this Multi Skilled Turner / Miller role you must have the following experience / characteristics:
Ideally completed a relevant machining, toolmaker or engineering apprenticeship.
The ideal Multi Skilled Turner / Miller will have the following skills / characteristics:
Recent experience of manual and CNC Turning.
Previously used Fanuc or Mazatrol controlled Hitachi and or Mazak CNC Turning & Milling machines (desirable)

The successful Multi Skilled Precision Machinist (Manual and CNC Milling & Turning) / will need to be flexible as there may be overtime and other duties not mentioned in this job description. With experience of working in a manufacturing environment, you will have a standard-level education, have the relevant qualifications or experience, be punctual, conscientious, keen and have a practical approach to work.
