Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Apply your subject matter expertise and domain experience to support the Engineering Manager and Sub-System Technical Lead in delivering underwater sensing systems and products to the submarine build programme
Understand the contractual and performance requirements for underwater sensing systems and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities
Work with the sonar engineering team to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise
Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)
Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle
Knowledge or at least recognition of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will join a growing team of about 50 engineers and will work collaboratively since the early stage of a major development programme. This will provide you with the opportunity to influence the progress of different projects within the SSNA Combat System programme and to develop your career within BAE Systems.
