United Kingdom Raleigh International Full time €23,000

Role: Venturer Sales Coordinator

Location: Remote working, based in the South East, UK

Contract: Full time

Salary: £23,000 + Commission

Reports to: Managing Director

Team: Recruitment (Sales) Team

Team Purpose: Convert leads to confirmed bookings

About the role

As a key contributor to achieving our Expedition Venturer (young people who travel on Expedition with Raleigh) targets and revenue goals, you’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers apply to go on Expedition, representing Raleigh International’s culture and values.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and convert potential customers aged 17-24 into committed Venturers for our 5, 7, or 10-week programmes in various Expedition countries. This will involve converting inbound online leads and traveling to schools and universities, primarily in the South East, to deliver talks and engage with potential Venturers. You’ll also be responsible for following up with leads to ensure a seamless experience and successful conversions.

The role requires active outreach, relationship building, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the application process. You’ll effectively communicate the benefits of our Expeditions through phone consultations, online and in-person events, email, text, and WhatsApp. Being comfortable and confident in speaking with both 17-24-year-olds, their parents/guardians as well as educational professionals is essential. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments to support Raleigh’s mission and contribute to the Recruitment Team’s overall sales targets.

About the Recruitment team

The recruitment team reports into our Managing Director and working closely together with our marketing team and CRM lead, all pulling together to meet our Venturer targets. By doing so, this team is very much part of the bigger picture of making sure Raleigh continues the excellent, impactful, sustainable work it has been doing for over 40 years, in parts of the world which need our support to develop.

Our culture is a fun, supportive and collaborative one. There are regular 121 meetings with line managers and team meetings for updates but also simply to chat and have a giggle, because being fully remote we don’t get same little breaks to connect that you’d get in an office environment.
