Are you an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated to provide high quality care midwife?


You will support staff in providing care for women undergoing induction of labour, experiencing obstetric complexities and those requiring post-natal care following the birth of their baby.


This is a permanent post, part time for 22.The post holder is responsible for the continuous management of Delivery Suite provided by their team, including the organisation of the services and the management of staff and resources.
To participate in the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and patient information.
To work with the other Lead Midwives and Matrons to continuously improve the quality of service and safeguard high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical practice flourishes.
Identify deficits in care and take proactive steps to remedy this eg by setting up intra departmental multi-disciplinary groups to initiate changes consistent with best practice.
To attend regular unit meetings and to represent the Unit at Trust meetings and external forums.
To identify potential risks and assist in the completion of reports following clinical incidents.

Current registration on Part 10 of the NMC register
Knowledge of NMC Handbook of Midwives Rules, Code of Professional Conduct, Scope of Professional Practice and its application to clinical practice
Evidence of continuous professional development

Demonstrate ability to manage high quality patient care provision and presents a professional image
Evidence of leading a project or initiative
