DevOps Engineer

Application Deadline: 16 May 2024

Department: Software

Employment Type: Full Time

Description

Want to be part of a team transforming healthcare?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable DevOps Engineer to join us at anexciting time as we transfer our world-leading technology from R&D to manufacturingand bring our products to market. You will have an unrivalled opportunity to develop cutting edge technology, working with a modern stack and collaborating with our talented engineers to deploy game-changing products in multiple industries.

As a valued member of our creative software team, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and creativity to significantly impact company technology.

In this role you will play a key part in implementing and maintaining systems to manage our software artifacts through development, verification, release, and delivery to production devices. You will work as part of a small team to maintain and enhance infrastructure, improve processes, and support colleagues in the software team with tooling. You will help to ensure that our systems meet regulatory requirements for quality and security.

Most of our software is written in modern high-performance C++ (C++20), with some components implemented in C#, targeting a variety of systems (the majority runs on Windows, but we also write software for our embedded devices. We use Python extensively, for prototyping, tools and automation.

We use CMake for managing the build process, Microsoft Azure as our cloud computing platform and Azure Pipelines for continuous integration.

The Company

Medical imaging helps patients by enabling early and accurate diagnosis. However, 2D X-rays can be inconclusive as they give a fundamentally limited view of our 3D bodies. 3D images are possible with CT scanners, but these are much more expensive, give a high dose of radiation, and moving a critically ill patient to a scanner can be labour-intensive and risky.

At Adaptix, we are helping make 3D imaging more accessible to the people who need it by producing mobile flat-panel X-ray systems that can be brought to patients, giving low-cost, low-dose imaging.

Candidate Profile

As our ideal candidate you will hold a degree in a Science or Engineering discipline, or have equivalent experience, together with relevant experience working in a Software, DevOps or Cloud focused team. You will be an effective communicator with an enthusiasm for building and maintaining robust and secure systems. You will be keen to learn new things and seek out opportunities to do things better.

In our team, we value and support continuous learning and development, so we don't expect you to know everything as long as you are eager to grow.
