Job Title: 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT Location: Grantham Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day Start: ASAP GSL Education are striving to look for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in the historic town of Grantham. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, providing essential support to students who need it most. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a specific student, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals. This position involves close collaboration with the classroom teacher and other support staff to create a positive and effective learning experience for the student. Responsibilities of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor lessons to the student's requirements. Provide dedicated one-on-one assistance to the assigned student, adapting support strategies to meet their unique learning needs. Track and report on the student’s progress, adjusting support strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement. Employ appropriate behaviour management techniques to create a positive and conducive learning environment. Assist in the preparation and organisation of educational materials and resources tailored to the student's needs. Offer emotional and motivational support to help the student develop confidence and self-esteem. Requirements of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is highly desirable. Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs support is advantageous. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, patient, empathetic and understanding approach to engaging with students, staff and families. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
