We are currently looking for a Fabrication Estimator to join our well established client in Maidenhead.
Our client specialises in high end, high tolerance, stainless steel fabrication, coded welding and the manufacture of bespoke special purpose equipment, pressure vessels & pipe work for a diverse range of industries.
The successful candidate will either have a technical estimating background within the sheet metal/fabrication or similar industries OR good fabrication experience with the desire to develop into and estimating/sales environment.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed quotations from customer drawings/models for existing and new customers
Converting successful quotes to orders on the system and getting feedback on unsuccessful quotes
Regularly update material costs and subcontractor service costs in the database to ensure the quotations are accurate
Liaise with production when passing over awarded orders in order to ensure no miscommunication between customer requirements and products produced
Support the Sales Manager in growing the business in line with the company's vision
Skills & Experience:
Great communication and inter-personal skills
Outgoing and friendly
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good attention to detail
Good organisational, numeracy and computer literacy skills
Ability to work under pressure
Hard-working and trustworthy
Knowledge of stainless steel specific work (Desirable)
CAD or quoting software experience (Desirable)
Salary: 34k - 42k depending on experience
