The owners are looking for an experienced housekeeper to maintain their household and ensure it runs smoothly on a day to day basis.You will need to have proven experience as a housekeeper or similar role, preferable in a private household setting, along with excellent organisational skills with the ability prioritise tasks effectively. You will have strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. You should be flexible to adapt to changing schedules and household needs. You should be trustworthy and discreet with respect for privacy and confidentiality.You will be required to work 6 days a week (Mon-Sun with 1 day off) and in the evenings (split shift) only when the owners are in residence, with one full weekend off a month.Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Accommodation separate to the main house (2 bed flat in beautiful rural surroundings with garden) is provided due to the nature of the role and forms part of the salary package.The family will also consider a live-out candidate if the candidate lives locally. The salary will be adjusted for this option.The housekeeper must have relevant visas to live and work in the UK.2 References must be provided.Key TasksAll aspects of care of an Historic House including polishing, floor waxing, hoovering, ironing, laundry and care of clothingAssist in the smooth running of meal service (breakfast, lunch and dinner when required) including waiting on and occasional meal preparation.Maintaining and upkeep household inventories.Making beds and changing linensMaintain organisation in all areas of the home including bedrooms, bathrooms and common areasWork closely with the head housekeeper and owners.This job description is not a limited listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the housekeeper.
