About the School:
Our Partnered School provides a holistic person-centered approach to education. Their curriculum is designed to cater to the needs of their pupils. The school aims to develop positive relationships, behaviour and attitudes, in an environment that values and respects every person. They have a range of facilities that includes a fitness suite, a sensory room, a wildlife garden and a music room. The Ofsted reports highlights that the school’s curriculum is well-planned and provides pupils with a breadth of subjects at every key stage in mathematical, scientific, technological, human and social, physical and creative education.
Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play an integral role in supporting students on their academic journey. Your responsibilities will include:
Individualised Guidance: Build positive relationships with students, offering one-on-one support to help them overcome learning challenges.
Resource Development: Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create and adapt learning materials, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students with diverse learning needs.
Inclusive Education: Create an inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity, promotes understanding and encourages positive social interactions.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and working with the teaching team to adjust support strategies as needed.
Personal Development: Promote and encourage effective learning habits, organisational skills, and independent learning.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you will need:
* Enhanced DBS Check or be willing to complete one.
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or possess equivalent teaching or education qualifications.
* Demonstrate a compassionate and patient attitude, with a genuine commitment to understanding and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Additional Details:
Hours: This is a part-time position.
Salary: Competitive, based on the M1 - M6 teaching scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Location: Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire
