Honda Racing Corporation has established a new subsidiary, Honda Racing Corporation UK Ltd. (HRC UK) in the UK.

This new company has been founded to primarily perform post-race maintenance and preparation tasks on the Honda built current F1 power units (PUs), whilst also operating as a logistics operation for the European region. The establishment of HRC UK will further enhance the effectiveness of Honda’s PU operations, in support of the partnership with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team. In May 2023, Honda and Aston Martin F1 jointly announced they will enter into works partnership so that Honda will supply its F1 PUs compliant with the new F1 regulations which will take effect in the 2026 season.

The purpose of this role is to maintain all facilities at our site, ensuring a safe and conducive working environment for our Associates. This includes managing and supervising ongoing construction and proactive/reactive contractor works, whilst also creating a longer-term plan to provide the necessary and appropriate service level to the business. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain all facility related items at the HRC-UK site
• Identify issues in the area of facilities and equipment, and proactively propose solutions to Management
• Supervise the Facilities Advisor’s activities mentioned below:
- Lead and coordinate all Facility related items at the HRC-UK site
- Manage equipment and facilities (including building, car park, planting within the premises) maintenance and repair with suppliers and contractors
- Manage the outsourcing contract covering cleaning, security and maintenance at the site, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved
- Lead installation of new equipment or additional facilities
- Deal with reactive issues, breakdowns or incidents which may occur 
- Arrange scheduled service and repair call outs 
- Coordinating and supporting supplier management of onsite services
- Maintaining a register for maintenance issues and activities across the sites
- Assess contractor standards and performance prior to and during work

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Experience in a similar facility management/supervisory role
• Ability to lead a team to a goal in a difficult situation
• Ability to manage multiple projects, and deliver on time and on budget
• An adept communicator, able to build good relationships across all cultures, and both internally and externally
• Fluency in spoken & written English is essential. Competence in Japanese or another European language is desirable 
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills at a range of levels
• Ability to identify priorities and risks in the face of ambiguity 
• A pragmatic approach to the management of Health, Safety, Environment and Facilities
• Competence and licence to drive in the UK 
• NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
