Electrical Maintenance Technician

An international manufacturing company are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their Engineering Team on a permanent basis. The right candidate will be responsible for maintaining machinery, running diagnostic tests, and updating all service and repair records. The Role and Responsibilities
  • To develop and implement electrical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs
  • Using route cause analysis to eliminate any faults/breakdowns.
  • To Monitor the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
  • Developing and using SOP’s to carry out training for co-workers on the safe and efficient use of electrical machinery and equipment.
  • Complying with Health and Safety Environment Policies
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations
  • Installing new equipment and upgrading existing equipment to meet production demands.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Time served with at least two years’ experience as an Electrical Technician in a similar COMAH environment.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be able to work continental shifts
  • Siemens PLC (Step 7)
  • Experience working with various voltages – AC and DC.
  • Must be able to read electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and able to liaise with other departments at all levels.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be focused on continuous improvement with a safety mind set.
  • Full Driving Licence
