South West Norse is a successful commercial service partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, delivering expertise across cleaning, catering, and facilities management disciplines. We currently have a great opportunity for a Site Manager to lead our team at Montgomery Primary School on a part-time basis.
The role
As a Site Manager, you will help oversee and drive the cleaning and maintenance services at Montgomery Primary School. Working alongside the Area Manager and our client partners, you will be responsible for implementing best practice and reviewing service delivery to ensure quality and health and safety standards are met.
You will be the main point of contact on-site for the operational team and any subcontractors, responsible for managing the daily operations of all stakeholders and ensuring the team has the right training, equipment, and materials essential for both periodic and ad-hoc requirements on-site. It will be your responsibility to regularly monitor site maintenance and safety through risk assessment and implementing quality standards.
Your Experience
- Whilst there will be support and training available in the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate some key knowledge, skills, and experience for the role, including:
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a cleaning/facilities management environment, with working knowledge of M&E systems
- Proven experience in a previous facilities or site management role, demonstrating an ability to manage multi-disciplined and multi-site teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders and deliver instructions or information clearly
- Ability to define, implement, and monitor best working practices that meet quality and safety standards
- Good leadership skills, capable of identifying opportunities to develop individuals as well as managing performance
