Who will you be supporting?
Barclay House is an accessible 9-bedroom purpose-built residential home for adults with a range of disabilities. We specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss.
We aim to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, who put the people at the heart of everything we do.
Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for:
Assisting with personal care, laundry, meal preparation, medication and administration;
Getting to know the people you support and help them to live their lives meaningfully, in the way they wish to;
Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you support;
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will be supporting;
Helping the people you support plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims;
Planning, promoting, and encouraging activities such as holidays and social engagements and life skills;
Being creative and exploring new opportunities;
Assisting the people we support to manage their personal affairs, including making, preparing, and attending any appointments.

Hold experience in social care or willingness to learn from others, full training will be provided.5 hours per week and happy to work on a rota basis, covering a combination of mornings, evenings, and every other weekend.
