An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a SEMH&L Specialist Practitioner to join ourteam, working under the management of SEMHL.
You will be part of a team who are based at Friargate and work in Primary, Secondary schools and other educational establishments, across the City.

The main function of the role is to deliver restorative, behavioural and wellbeing interventions for children and young people across the City. We work with both Primary and Secondary pupils (aged 5-16) who may have Emotional, Behavioural or Special Educational Needs. The role also involves working with permanently excluded pupils, those in danger of permanent exclusion and supporting student transition.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
This could include setting up and attending meetings, writing behaviour plans, delivering one to ones, mentoring, teaching behaviour strategies, group work, target setting, lesson observations, monitoring progress and attendance, calls and home visits.
