Job title: CAD Technician Sector: Building Services - HVAC / Mechanical Sector Location: Albrighton, Wolverhampton Salary & Package: Negotiable dependent upon qualification / experience The Opportunity To join a growing, successful National HVAC / Mechanical Contractor, working within the Building Services sector, with offices based in South Wales, Wolverhampton and London, and a client base largely from repeat custom, maintaining longstanding relationships, based upon the technical expertise provided. An opportunity has arisen to recruit a HVAC CAD Technician within our organisation, working with the Design / Technical team. The successful applicant will be able to: Produce 2D CAD layouts from design sketches created by other team members. Modify customer drawings and layouts. Import manufacturer's information into working drawings (blocks and schedules). Liaise with Engineers / Project Managers for drawing requirements, plotting drawings for issue and recording all drawing information received from outside sources. Ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content on all projects. Work on a variety of projects within the commercial and industrial fields. Contribute to the delivery of projects within the team and within programme. The applicant must possess: Knowledge of AutoCAD gained through qualification and/or experience. Building Services experience (desirable). Knowledge of VRF, ductwork and pipework layouts (desirable). Self-motivation and capacity to work to deadlines and timescales. An organised approach and positive outlook with the ability to work on own initiative. Good verbal, written and IT communication skills. Other attributes: Ability to liaise with client's operational staff and present a professional image.
