Fuller details can be Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Motion Graphic Designer to play a key role in crafting captivating visual projection experiences that leave a lasting impression on our clients and their audiences. Working within our creative team in Edinburgh, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and executing dynamic projection mapping projects across various scales and settings. Working in a fast paced environment, you must be able to deal effectively with short lead-in times and tight deadlines. Main Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise and develop motion graphics to specific client briefs and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients to storyboard and visualise ideas, ensuring alignment with project vision and client expectations.
  • Design and animate captivating 2D/3D visuals optimised for projection mapping environments.
  • Utilise industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D, to create high-quality motion graphics content.
  • Work closely with projection mapping technicians to integrate motion graphics seamlessly into projection setups.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in motion design, projection mapping, and related fields, incorporating new tools and methodologies into your workflow as appropriate.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc duties.
Essential Requirements:
  • Fluent in Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D, as well as good knowledge of other fundamental programs in the Adobe suite.
  • Practical experience in a motion design role.
  • Strong and varied portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 2D and 3D motion graphics, showing an understanding of design principles.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical and design challenges.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience with projection mapping techniques.
  • Knowledge of incorporating audio into motion graphics
Job Details: The Post holder would be on a full-time contract (9.00am to 5.00pm Mon - Fri with potential for overtime) and will be office based in Leith, Edinburgh.
