Business Tax
We provide a wide range of tax and consulting services to a broad range of companies, from housing associations to owner managed businesses.
By being involved at the outset of a transaction we can provide comprehensive advice to minimise the tax exposure, considering all the business tax, VAT, international and employee issues as appropriate
Working with Partners/Director’s to support a range of clients on the tax aspects of corporate finance activity together with support on the ongoing tax position for portfolio companies. Building and maintaining key client relationships by delivering excellent client service;
Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a commercial approach is taken;
Support on tax due diligence including reviewing businesses for existing and potential tax issues from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective;
Support on tax structuring to help clients ensure their operations are structured in a tax efficient manner e.g. steps to ensure tax efficient acquisitions or disposals for clients buying/selling businesses and implications of entity and shareholder level taxes;
Support with pre and post deal services, including assisting clients with pre-acquisition re-structuring and implementing new tax planning ideas.
Staff Management and Development
Counsel and develop junior staff through delegation and on the job training
Appraisals/monitor staff performance including acting as a Line Manager
Actively use network of established relationships to drive new business opportunities and cross referral of services
Identifying and driving opportunities –use insights gained from knowledge sharing sessions, technical training and existing projects to develop new opportunities
Building your own client and internal relationships
Commercial awareness - delivers value to client and team profitability.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA, e.g. law qualification)
Proficient in UK corporate tax gained within the profession and/or industry
Motivated team player with a flexible attitude
Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
