The Role – Junior Commercial Manager Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Junior Account Manager for a Fresh Produce Business based out of Maidstone working closely with the Commercial Manager you will be supporting the management and development of key customers within the framework providing leading category management to support customers requirements and future growth The Candidate Suitable candidates must have previous fresh produce experience within a commercial or similar role , with proven experience in key account management , working closely with the internal teams to ensure commercial relationships are continually established and developed with the customers The Daily Duties

  • Deliver outstanding understanding of service expectations to the business and ensure these expectations are met
  • Work within the team to implement, evolve and communicate a joint category plan for all required areas
  • Achieve all sales, volume and margin targets within the account
  • Provide on time weekly sales forecasting to the business
  • Provide the business with accurate account information for the use in longer term forecasting and programming
  • Work within the team to deliver constant out performance versus retail and supply competition
  • Contribute creatively and technically towards the promotion and development of the product range
  • Continuously evaluate the supply chain to identify cost savings and opportunities to improve the quality and freshness of the product.
  • Liaise with internal departments (supply chain, procurement, technical, operations) to ensure quality and timely delivery of product
  • Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to address sourcing and availability issues
  • Liaise with 3rd party packing sites to ensure clear communication and delivery
  • Understand and communicate technical issues with the customer commercial team where necessary and liaise on these issues internally with technical and quality teams to achieve satisfactory resolution
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the market sector including consumer trends, competitor activity and product lines
  • Support in the delivery of profitable business growth
  • Ensure the adherence of administrative and financial systems and controls
  • Provide summary information regarding sales, volumes, margins and prices as and when required
  • Update internal and external stakeholder with relevant market data
