One of the most exciting Food Technology related posts I have ever seen, for the right candidate this role could be career defining. The Food Education Coordinator post will consist of: Supporting the Food Education Team in developing and expanding the project within schools. Helping to build resources for the Food Schools Programme to ensure they are relevant, useful and inline with curriculum expectation for 2024 Creating fun and inspiring supporting materials & worksheets. Help advise web designers to create a fully functioning hub where teacher can access all the information they need/ Providing a point of contact for schools as the programme is rolled out. Various schools who are part of the programme, and their Food Technology staff Teachers who have vision and an unwavering commitment to bring the subject forward. About you - Food Education Coordinator - Qualifications and Experience desired: You must be exciting by a challenge and be ready to build new experience Food Technology experience and working in schools is essential. Ideally you have a good understanding of the Key Stage 3 Food curriculum. Prior experience of writing and creating education materials will be Teaching Science at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be working with a range of schools, therefore it is essential that you have excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external staff. You should be enthusiastic by nature, committed, and hard-working and able to inspire within your subject area. Qualified Teacher Status desirable with and appropriate degree qualifications in Food Technology / Nutrition. Good interpersonal skills: the ability to work well with a wide range of people and also to use initiative -taking the lead when necessary. Experience of improving the quality of teaching and learning through curriculum development and high-quality resources. What you can expect by accepting this role.
