You will be joining a newly formed security team within the business. You’ll play a crucial role in securing the cloud environment, integrating security practices, and shaping a culture of security.
This is a creative and collaborative position that is a full-time member of an AWS-focused, agile engineering organization. The role will work closely with the development and platform teams to help them follow crucial security principles and industry best practices. If you’re passionate about AWS technologies and driving cloud security, this could be the role for you

Setup and maintain monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems for fine-grained security observability of the cloud environment and actionable alerting.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, and remediate security misconfigurations.
Implement standards and policies to safeguard workloads and the cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with product teams to integrate security best practices into cloud-based applications.
Conduct regular security checks and audits, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Act as a technical security professional, providing advice and guidance to other team members and the wider business.
Help cultivate a strong technical security culture across the organization.
Collaborate with external pen-testing companies to help evaluate the security for all aspects of our cloud infrastructure.
Work with our delivery teams to ensure our services adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework (Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability).

A strong technical security background.
Multiple years of experience working with cloud technologies, preferably with a security focus. AWS certification is highly welcomed.
Competence in incident response planning, vulnerability management, security event management, supported by strong knowledge of tooling and detection techniques.
Strong experience in implementing and automating security best practices.
Foundational networking knowledge, such as switching, firewalls, routing, and DNS.
AWS networking knowledge, such as VPCs, Transit Gateways, and how this works in a multi-region environment.
