Duties:

  • Support newly qualified social workers in their ASYE
  • Be co-allocated to children and provide practical support and practice learning with all aspects of social work practice
  • Support with specific pieces of work which may be more complex and model good practice to aid learning and development of social workers in their ASYE
  • Primarily this work will be within the Child in Need and Child Protection teams with some work in the Cared For service

Requirements of theChildren's Senior Social Worker/Advanced Practitioner:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • 5 years reference, gaps in employment history checked
  • Have experience in these areas of work and the skills and knowledge to support learning and best practice
