Hawksworth are now recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst for a General Insurance client. Looking for MI , BI and General Insurance skills & experience.

  • Based in Bournemouth – Working remotely but regularly going in to the office (aprox twice a month).
  • Salary to be discussed -Package – Up to 30% bonus, 30 days holiday, pension pay twice what you pay up to 14%, annual bonus scheme, flex benefits, private medical insurance, and more.
  • Any applicant will need to have a General Insurance background and worked in Technical IT Projects in Agile Environments.
  • All applicants need to be eligible to work in the UK without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.

Essential Skills

  • A Business Intelligence background within a General Insurance environment
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst
  • Substantial experience of BI requirements specifications in relation to both a) back-end source-to-target data extracts and b) front end dashboards, query and analysis tools
  • An appreciation of Data Management disciplines
  • Ability to support & validate deliverables from Testing and Architecture teams
  • Management Information experience

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of Azure (preferred) or other cloud-based infrastructures
  • Familiarity with SQL scripting
  • An understanding of Dimensional Data modelling
  • An awareness of Microsoft BI Tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience of Agile and / or Scaled Agile framework
  • Experience of Policy Administration & Billing systems (for e.g.: Guidewire, etc.)
  • Data manipulation techniques
