Immigration Solicitor/Fee Earner

  • Advising clients on immigration law, including visa applications, entry clearance, residency, nationality, and asylum claims.
  • Handling business immigration matters, such as Tier 1 entrepreneur visas, sponsor license applications, and intra-company transfers.
  • Assisting corporate clients with immigration compliance, including right to work checks and sponsor duties.
  • Representing clients in immigration appeals and judicial reviews before the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and Upper Tribunal.
  • Providing legal guidance on European Union law, including applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.
  • Conducting legal research and staying updated with changes in immigration rules and regulations.
  • Drafting legal documents, including visa applications, appeals, witness statements, and legal submissions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, immigration authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and immigration consultants to deliver comprehensive and effective immigration services.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.
  • Proven experience in immigration law, with a focus on business immigration and asylum cases.
  • Sound knowledge of UK immigration rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • Multilingual abilities and experience working with multicultural clients are advantageous.
  • Competitive, based on skills, qualifications, and interview performance.
  • Self-Employment/ consultancy arrangements can be discussed.
