This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the mental health legislation team as the trust lead for the Mental Capacity Act.


Using your knowledge of the MCA and your leadership skills, you will provide trust staff with expert support, information, training and guidance on issues relating to the MCA and DOL/ Liberty Protection Safeguards. The role also requires collaborative working and the development of effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency relationships with all partner agencies, providing leadership and management of Deprivation of Liberty through provision of policy, governance and service development.
Alongside Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults, you will be a source of advice in relation to MCA matters and act as a point of contact when the Trust is involved in any Court of Protection cases. You will be required to provide training for staff at all levels and provide credible analysis of the Trust's compliance with the MCA.
