The Company The client is a family run business which was established in 1952. The company specialises in Bulk Earthworks, Quarrying, Crushing / Screening & Civil Engineering. Position Summary The client is looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join their established team and to work closely with clients and sub-contractors making sure objectives are completed on time. Duties will include: Delivering Site Inductions, Toolbox Talks and Daily Activity Briefings (DABs) Managing the quality of work by direct labour and subcontractors Provide effective Management to site operatives, sub-contractors. Communicate with personnel and clients at all levels. Have a commercial understanding of the project, always implementing cost and efficiency savings. Ensure on site Health & Safety and the wellbeing of all staff employed or subcontracted by Kelston Sparkes Represent the company in a professional and proactive manner, always building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Accurate paperwork is completed daily, recording all aspects of the project, and signed where required. Ideal Candidate The client are looking for an individual with excellent supervisory skills and a proven track record in assisting the site managers in delivery of large complex Civil Engineering and/or Groundworks projects. Experience can range from the management of small delivery teams to demonstratable experience in leadership roles. Qualifications – SSSTS Certification, CSCS/CPCS Card, Qualified first aider, HND OR NVQ or Demonstratable experience.
