Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

OCI provides a range of operations and services to support virtual networking, ensuring users have the tools they need to create, manage, and optimize their network architecture. By providing these operations and services, OCI enables users to build, manage, and optimize their virtual networking infrastructure to meet the specific needs of their applications, ensuring a secure, high-performance, and scalable environment in the cloud.

Responsibilities:

On a day-to-day basis, the Virtual Networking Team supports multiple UK Govt customers in a support/Dev environment. We support tickets such as Break fix (Alarms, customer tickets, Failed changes) and 3rd tier escalations. We support all virtual networking services teams across OCI.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, MIS or another technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience with Linux (Fedora/RHEL/Oracle).
  3. Understanding of common networking protocols (BGP, IPSec).
  4. Experience working with virtualization technologies.
  5. Experience working with containers (Docker) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) preferred.
  6. Experience deploying code within change management procedures.
  7. Experience participating in or running incident bridges.
  8. Customer obsession, passion for delighting customers.
  9. Understanding of cloud concepts and platforms.
  10. Experience in cloud technical support, operations, NOC or similar is preferred, but not required.
  11. Experience working with government customers is preferred, but not required.
  12. Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains and then train others.
  13. Great verbal and written communication skills.
