Contract length: Turner Lovell are currently recruiting for an international engineering & construction organisation who have a strong pipeline in major renewable energy and M&E projects across the UK. Our client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to work a high-profile 400kV substation project in Watford.
The Site Manager will focus on the M&E construction, installation & commissioning phases. They will manage/supervise the installation and assembling of HV equipment, high voltage cables, switchgear - transformers, circuit breakers and all associated AIS or GIS components.

To act as the M&E Site Manager for new & extension energy facility projects in the UK
Day-to-day management of site personnel, subcontractors, and general workers on site
Ensure site management procedures and policies are always followed by site personnel.
Have a working knowledge of construction health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Liaison with individuals from the site management, engineering, and commissioning teams
Monitoring and logging of the Contractor's progress and performance on-site supporting the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager
Have a comprehensive knowledge of UK substation electrical equipment.
Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree or further education qualification
Be a recognized site manager/supervisor holding SMSTS/SSSTS, CCNSG/CSCS, TP137/SR163 and NG competent persons
