Job Description Senior Counsel

This leading healthcare and consumer products business is a multi-faceted organisation, responsible for manufacturing, supplying and distributing many of the healthcare and pharmaceutical products we use in our daily lives as well as products and services relating to personalised healthcare and diagnostics.

The business now has a need to appoint a commercial lawyer at Senior Legal Counsel level to provide dedicated legal support to its wholesale business. The role will lead on key commercial negotiations with external partners, including large pharmaceutical companies as well as retail distributors on the B2C side. The role will be responsible for resolving issues which arise in existing commercial relationships and building relationships with key stakeholders.

As part of a small but well-integrated legal team, you will have direct exposure to senior management from day one.

Based in Surrey, the role offers excellent quality work in a sector which is key for all of us, along with flexibility (2 days in the office) and a truly people focussed business with a female led legal team.

You will need a general commercial contracts background ideally with some consumer healthcare experience, although strong commercial contracts experience in private practice would also be considered. Industry experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or even FMCG would suit, with experience in the supply and distribution of goods or services being key.

Strong interpersonal skills, a commercial approach and can-do attitude are all fundamental to enjoying and excelling in this role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known healthcare business in a key role for the business.
